Even with the smallest places, the urge to do and see everything can be overwhelming. The streets, beaches, and forests of Tofino are home to a plethora of incredible adventures with endless mixes of what to do next.
Being at the heart of the city, we have the honour of honing in on the strongest rhythms and newest happenings. We’ve made a special Choose Your Own Adventure for those days that require less thinking and more doing.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE IN TOFINO

You wake up, well rested and cozy at The MAQ… the iconic Tofino fog lays heavy on the city but you can already feel the sun pushing through ready to guide you through a perfect Tofitian day.
After you get ready, coffee calls you. You head down to The MAQ Cafe…
to grab a coffee & breakfast to go. The day awaits!
and order to stay, letting these slow moments sink in while you watch the harbour from the lounge
The coffee hits just right and you’re feeling just the perfect amount of full, with a little treat tucked into your bag for later.
You find yourself en route to…
a surf rental to ride the waves at your favourite beach
a rainforest hike in search of a crashed plane
You immerse yourself in the true magic of Tofino, walking through the rainforest and witnessing the steady calm of the sand beach beneath your feet. Every sense is alive and you are feeling deeply connected to the nature, to yourself, and those around you - whether friends or strangers.
Although the beauty of it all is encompassing, your tummy asks for the treat you stashed away and you start thinking about lunch…
it’s time to head back and hit up The BEAR for a reset, their rotating seasonal menu calling you in for a shared patio moment
a to-go burger from The BEAR and a beer from the MAQ Liquor Store to bring with you sounds perfect

Slowly, you make your way back up to the MAQ and smile at the familiar, comforting feeling of your hotel. The moon continues to rise through your window as you lay down, satisfied, for the best sleep of your life, in the centre of one of the most magical places in the world…
